I found chemistry and physics quite hard because of all the formulas and equations involved. I don’t really know how I got better I think it was by finding little tricks to help me remember the right formula and when to use it.
Some bits I found hard – especially in Chemistry or Physics, but then every subject has hard bits. There’s no easy answer, I think you just have to keep working at something. And there are some things you just have to learn!
I remember doing A-level maths, and there’s was one big bit I just couldn’t get – I used to spend hours doing homework on the weekend knowing the answers were wrong – but it was the only way my teacher would know I’d done something! Then after about 6 months it just clicked and suddenly I could do it.
Try writing out notes, and if you’ve got facts to learn (or vocab in languages) record them and put them on your MP3 player. If you’ve got a few friends who ‘ll give it a try, try each taking one thing to teach to the others for 10 mins each week – sometimes another person explaining it is all you need.
