• Question: Do you think the legal classes of drugs are appropriate to the drug? (give examples)

      Heroin – Class A – Yes that’s appropriate. My friends a policeman and 90% of his work is sorting out heroin-based crime.

      Hi, to be honest this is not an area that I work in at all and I haven’t considered each drug and its classification. I do agree with drugs such as heroin being class A as there is such a harmful potential for individuals who take this drug. There are also some drugs such as cannabis which I perhaps think should be in a higher class as the long term effects can be very damaging (for example regular cannabis users are 8 times more likely to have symptoms of schizophrenia). Hope this short answer is of some use
