• Question: Have you ever had any involvemet with harmful drugs, or maybe a close friend of yours have?

      I haven’t had any involvement with harmful drugs myself. Not a very close friend, but someone I knew in University, smoked a lot of cannabis, which really started to affect their study – they couldn’t concentrate or keep up with the work as a result of the effect of the drug – and ended up quitting after the first year. I have also witnessed people who have become very dependent on alcohol which can become very harmful to individuals and their families which is extremely sad to see.

      Well I’ve met a few people who’ve taken harmful drugs, but none of my close friends.

      One girl I met a couple of months ago started taking heroin when she was about 13 and now she’s about 17 and it’s just done so much to damage her life – physically and even the friends she has are other people with the same problems or people who are trying to sell heroin. It’s just a nightmare for her and her family and I don’t know if she’ll ever recover completely from it – and she’s only just old enough to go to university. So not something I think is ever worth it.

      One of my childhood friends died of a heroin overdose in the early 90s.

      A couple of my friends have had their drinks spiked on nights out and it really isn’t nice one of them passed out and had to be taken to hospital and both of them can’t remember anything about the night.
