• Question: How long does it for a parasite to develop?

      Just depends on the parasite.

      Some worms can weeks and weeks for you to notice a problem. The parasites I work on can start causing problems in days, and it just goes on and on like a fever until the patient falls into a coma and eventually dies (unless they get treatment).

      Some parasites will live inside you without you noticing any problems, and then if you get pregnant for example, they can suddenly start making you ill because your immune system isn’t as strong as before you were pregnant.
