Cannabis (weed) is a Class B drug – illegal to have, give away or sell and through this regulation is seen as being more dangerous than alcohol. Regular and/or heavy use of cannabis makes it difficult to learn and concentrate and some people begin to feel constantly tired and can’t seem to get motivated, it also increases the chance of having a psychotic disorder such as schizophrenia by about 8-fold. (There are more symptoms that those mentioned here). Alcohol is not viewed as being as dangerous as canabis and small amounts appear to have no harm, however large, regular quantities can cause severe liver problems, with some people requiring liver transplants as a result.
      hope this helps
