A gust of cool air across the back of the neck.

      Perhaps an adrenalin rush?

I think the ‘shudder down the spine’ feeling is an involuntary reaction or reflex. A shudder is a muscle contraction followed by relaxation and can progress across muscles – so it feels like it is going down the spine.
      Hope this helps

It’s proably all to do with nerves and muscle contractions but I’m not totally sure.
