• Question: what conferences do you useally go to and is it far to travel? :)

      There are big international conferences like ISMB (Intelligent Systems in Molecular Biology), this year its in Boston (USA) but in the past its been in Stockholm (Sweden), Toronto (Canda), Vienna (Austria), Fortaleza (Brazil), Michigan (USA) and Glasgow (Scotland). This is a fairly typical list of conference venues…

      Some of the most fun conferences can be smaller ones where you get to meet and talk to many more people – big conferences can be a bit impersonal and expensive sometimes – although the travelling can be great fun.
