      Cap the leak.

Cap the leak with some kind of fast growing, strong, designed biological material.

In America, and the world generally, I think there are three serious environmental problems.

      1. Food security (being able to grow enough food to feed everybody)
      2. Energy security (being able to meet the energy needs of the planet – e.g. from oil or whatever)
      3. Climate change

I don’t think my work is directly relevant to any of these areas, so I’d have to put on my superman cape and try and save the world that way.

I suppose you mean the break in the oil pipe? I’d have to study engineering to come up with a proper way of plugging the hole unfortunatley it needs to be done much quicker than that would take me.

With America being such a large land mass there is probably no single most serious environmental problem. There are natural disasters, different types of pollution and crop problems in some areas to name but a few. I don’t have any skills to help any of these problems but I am sure there are many other groups trying to address these issues.
